About Ida

Ida is a female clinical psychologist who graduated from Curtin University with a PhD in clinical psychology, with a research focus on women’s mental health and expectations of motherhood. She has experience working in King Edward Memorial Hospital where she worked with women and families during pregnancy, pregnancy loss, and postpartum difficulties. Ida is trained in EMDR trauma focused therapy and has experience working with police officers and paramedics. Ida is now focusing on her private practice in the community and is offering a range of evidence-based therapies to adolescent and adult clients.

Referrals & Appointments

Referrals

You do not need a referral to see a psychologist. If you would like to claim a Medicare rebate you will need a referral under a mental health treatment plan from a GP, or a referral letter from a psychiatrist or paediatrician. Please note, this practice does not provide reports or assessments for use in family court.

Fees & Rebates

Fees

Consultation fee

The fee for an individual session (50 minutes) is $250.00*
Fee is payable by eftpos or direct transfer on day of service.

*This is a reduced rate from the Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended rate of $311 per session.

Cancellation Fee

A late cancellation fee of 50% of the fee will be payable if less than 24 hours’ notice is given prior to cancelling an appointment.

A repeat late cancellation/non-attendance or an initial non-attendance will incur the full fee.

Rebates

Medicare rebate

If you are referred by a GP under the Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative (Mental health treatment plan) or are referred by a psychiatrist/paediatrician, you are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $141.85 per session for 10 sessions per calendar year.

Private health insurance rebate

Contact your private health insurer to find out if you are eligible for a rebate and if there are any other requirements such as a referral. Rebates cannot be claimed from Medicare and private insurance at the same time.
